Paul's journey in the construction industry began at the age of 16, following in the footsteps of his older brother Ian. While still in high school, Paul embarked on his carpentry apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience working alongside Ian at a local construction company. Driven by his passion for building and a dream of establishing his own family-run business, Paul completed high school early and pursued formal carpentry training at Camosun College. In 2009, Paul’s dream came to fruition with the launch of True Home® Construction. Starting with small to medium-sized renovations and collaborating with developers on new home projects, Paul built a solid foundation for his growing company. His commitment to the industry didn’t stop there; in 2011, Paul expanded his expertise by becoming a licensed Realtor. This new role deepened his understanding of construction costs, pricing, and the impact of various construction levels on market value, further enhancing the services True Home® offers. The following year, Paul achieved another milestone by obtaining his Residential Builder’s License, enabling True Home® Construction to build custom residential homes and broaden its scope of offerings. In late 2021, Paul fulfilled a long-held aspiration by reuniting in the workplace with his brother Ian, transforming True Home® into a truly family-run enterprise. Together, Paul and Ian form an unstoppable team, elevating customer care and project excellence to new heights. Ian Greenwood is our esteemed Senior Project Manager at True Home. Ian brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, having spent nearly three years steering our projects to success alongside his brother, Paul. His extensive background in carpentry and framing, coupled with a solid seven years of service as a hull technician in the military, has honed his skills in management, dedication, respect, and leadership. Ian's time in the military equipped him with not only technical proficiency but also invaluable life skills that translate seamlessly into his role in construction. His diverse qualifications and certifications further enrich his deep understanding of the trade, making him an exceptional leader and problem-solver. Under Ian's guidance, our team has consistently overcome challenges and achieved outstanding results. His commitment to excellence and his ability to lead with integrity and expertise make him a cornerstone of True Home's success. We are fortunate to have Ian at the helm, driving our projects forward with unparalleled skill and dedication.

Jesse Esplen began his journey with us over 8 years ago as a carpenter apprentice and has since achieved his Red Seal and grown into our Site Supervisor, showcasing an impressive array of skills that extend well beyond carpentry. Jesse’s talents span multiple facets of construction, making him an invaluable asset to our project management team. His hands-on approach and ability to seamlessly integrate all the moving parts of home construction ensure that each project is executed with precision and excellence. Often seen as the boots on the ground, Jesse's presence on site helps coordinate our many sub-trades and contributes significantly to the smooth progression of our projects. Throughout his tenure, Jesse’s unwavering dedication and trustworthiness have earned him numerous accolades from clients who consistently commend his work. His commitment to True Home and its projects speaks volumes about his character and professional integrity. Moreover, Jesse’s long-standing friendship with the Greenwood brothers, dating back to their high school days, has solidified his place as more than just a colleague—he is a cherished member of the True Home family. Jasmine, Paul’s wife, serves as the office manager at True Home® Construction, overseeing billing, payments, and various administrative duties that keep the guys and business organized. Wearing multiple hats, she supports the team behind the scenes, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
